Product Description
Hi everyone, I’m the mother of Trevin’s youngest daughter (Maia) have started this GoFundMe for him to help ease his recovery. All funds will go directly to his medical bills and any other expenses he faces along his recovery. His Grandfather, Bob will be handling all of his funds to make sure they go directly where they need to. On Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, Trevin’s family got news no family wants to hear about their loved one. Trevin was in a severe motor vehicle accident involving multiple cars that resulted in his car being flipped, causing him to be ejected from his vehicle. He was found unconscious and was intubated immediately on site. He was then transported to the PennState Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation. Upon arrival in the trauma bay, he was given 3-4 blood transfusions and taken to surgery following a CT scan that showed air in his abdomen. After several hours of his family waiting, not even knowing what the surgery was for, doctors informed them that after taking all of his bowel out, they didn’t see any holes, which is good news. That wasn’t even the worst of the accident, though. Trevin sustained several severe injuries. He has a collapsed lung followed by bruising to both lungs and multiple rib fractures. He is also suffering from all three of the bones being fractured in his spine. His vertebrae were smashed, which crushed his spinal cord. Being sedated, they have no idea what his brain function will be like when they take him off of intubation. Thursday morning, he went into a 6-hour spinal surgery where they had to relieve pressure. He had no movement from the waist down. In surgery, they put rods in, still not knowing if he will ever walk again. They stated there’s a chance, but they don’t have hope. But WE have hope and have been praying nonstop that God will let him run around with his two little girls again. In recovery from his surgery, his mom, who has not left his side through this all and has been trying to stay so strong for her son, held his hand and talked to him and got to witness him showing signs of brain activity. He acknowledged that she was speaking and was able to shake his head to “yes” or “no” questions. Still unsure if he would be able to speak, but it’s a start. God is good! Following his spinal surgery, they began to wean him off of the intubation. He was practically breathing by himself. Following another MRI, they made the decision to take it out. He is now AWAKE, ALERT, BREATHING, and best of all, TALKING. Something we were all so worried he wouldn’t be able to do given the unknown time his brain went without oxygen at the scene. Not only is he talking, but he is already asking about walking again. Trevin is such a fighter, and we all know he is going to push through this and continue to amaze us with his strength and determination, especially for his two daughters. Currently, we are still unsure if he will be able to walk, be able to relearn to walk, or what the future will hold. But what I do know is he is alive and fighting. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him, and the last thing I want his family to have to worry about during this time is his medical expenses, also given he will most likely need to go to rehab for his spine. So I’m asking anyone and everyone if you’re able to, PLEASE consider donating to help him on his road to recovery. And if you can’t donate, please just pray. Pray he will be able to walk again and do everything he loves.
